Bob Bartlett
News Anchor and Managing EditorBob grew up in the Midwest, but made his way to Texas as quickly as he could. He got his start in broadcasting when he got a disc jockey job at a radio station after his sophomore year of high school. Bob worked at various radio stations until he moved to Abilene for his chance in television. Having worked in all the on-air positions in addition to news management, Bob has covered everything from the 9/11 attacks to flooding in Abilene. Though he spends a lot of time at work, Bob enjoys spending his free time with his wife and five children.
Angela Taylor
Anchor, HealthTAB & What’s Bugging You Reporter Angela was born and raised in Mckinney, Texas, just north of Dallas. Before graduating from Angelo State University on a soccer scholarship, Angela changed her major several times before deciding on Broadcast Journalism. She graduated in 2003 with a double major in Communications and Kinesiology and a minor in English. Starting as an intern at sister station KLST TV in San Angelo in May of 2003, she then worked her way from assistant producer, to producer and then to reporter and weekend anchor. She was then hired by KTAB TV later that year. Angela is married and in her free time she likes to read, work-out and spend time with her husband and their dog Dixie.
Ron Rosseau
Daybreak and NoonTAB AnchorAfter growing up in the apple orchards of the state of Washington, Ron came to Abilene to attend Abilene Christian University in 1978. He first started work at KTAB TV in April of 1981, but left to pursue several other careers including work for U.S. Congressman Charles Stenholm and did marketing work for an Internet service in Abilene. Ron has worked in radio and television for more than 30 years, covering events such as the Columbus Day flood of 1981 and the arrival of the first B-1 at Dyess Air Force Base. Ron is married and has three children. In his free time, Ron enjoys leading his Sunday School class and playing racquetball.
Lauren Matter
Weekend Anchor and ReporterDespite growing up in Colorado, Lauren was born in Austin making her a true Texan. Lauren graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast News and a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts. During her time at CU, she was an anchor and reporter for NewsTeam Boulder, the only news station for the Boulder area. Before coming to KTAB, Lauren interned at the ABC Affiliate in Denver, Colorado and was a reporter for KACT-TV in Aurora, Colorado. When she’s not working, Lauren enjoys working out, traveling, and catching up with friends from home.
Nikima Stewart
KTAB Producer
Born and raised New Jersey, Nikima knew she wanted to be a journalist when her sixth grade teacher made her an editor of the school newspaper. She graduated from Rutgers University with a double major in journalism and criminal justice. While at Rutgers, she was on the boards of several student journalism organizations.
Nikima got her professional start in television news as an intern at WWOR, a New York City station, where she was later hired as a production assistant. Nikima interned at KTAB-KRBC after her junior year of college when her husband was stationed at Dyess Air Force Base. Once she graduated, Nikima returned to Abilene to be with him. She worked as a part-time web producer for KTAB and was later promoted to producer of the 5 and 10 p.m. newscasts.
Nikima says she feels blessed to have this job because it proves that following her husband's military career doesn't mean she has to give up her own aspirations. Nikima is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Shaun, and her friends in Abilene, talking to her family and friends back home, and shopping.
David Bacon
News Director
Having grown up in Abilene, David graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
He has worked for television stations in Midland/Odessa, San Antonio and St. Louis before returning to Abilene to work at KTAB TV in 1981.
Much of David’s time at KTAB TV was spent as the Sports Director.
As Sport Director, David won several awards for his coverage of local high school and college athletics.
He also had the opportunity to cover Super Bowls XXVIII and XXX as well as the 1995 Major League All-Star Game for KTAB.
David spent two years an Account Executive before being promoted to News Director in 2007. He oversees the news operation for both KRBC and KTAB TV.
