"I have the honor of knowing a best friend, a teacher and a role model.
After diagnosed with cancer and undergoing surgery, Terry Parramore endured chemo and radiation therapy.
However, her therapy sessions were complete once she entered her classroom.  
Her eyes lit up with joy each time she was physically able to return to her students. 
Since receiving favorable test results this past year Terry has spent time reaching out to others. 
Although she has recently been diagnosed with lymphademia as a result of her cancer treatments; she continues her passion of teaching, serves on the Relay for Life committee, is an officer for United Methodist Women, is a member of Women's Hope Inspires More Survivors and has recently volunteered with Wylie United Methodist Church in efforts to renovate the Carver Neighborhood in Abilene.  She continues to praise God for each day given by thinking of others first.  Terry Parramore is the most positive, thoughtful and giving individual I know.  I am truly blessed to call her Mom.
