Texas Cornhole Championship in Abilene

ABILENE, TX – The celebrated pastime turned growing sport, cornhole is convening in Abilene this weekend.

The 7th Annual Texas Cornhole League State Championships will be played Friday and Saturday at the Abilene Convention Center. Over 100 people from all over the state are currently signed up to play in this 2 day event.

“The cornhole community is thrilled to be playing in Abilene this year,” Chad Jacobson, League President, said. “We started this tournament in a bar 7 years ago and now we are in this awesome facility with multiple cash prizes to incentivize people to travel here. Working with the Abilene Convention and Visitors Bureau has been a dream.”

Cornhole enthusiasts interested in playing can sign up until an hour before the tournament begins Friday morning. All participants will have an opportunity to play in three different tournaments, but women will actually get four opportunities. There are two different entry opportunities: open, for the more advanced players and social, for the less serious players.

Anyone who loves cornhole is invited out to come play; even if this will be your first time playing in a TCL Tournament.

Open Entry (A - C Tier) $75

These players are highly competitive players that play at the top level of cornhole.

Includes 3 Tournaments Open Singles / Open Doubles and the choice of either Seniors, Women's, 1st  Responder or King of the Court

Social (D - E Tier) $40

These players are social / backyard players that love to play the game of cornhole.

Includes 3 Tournaments Social Singles / Social Doubles and the choice of either Seniors, Women’s, 1st Responder or King of the Court
