The manager said that the partners who own the company have decided to return the company's 12 oil rigs, due to the fact that they say this is a traditionally slower season for the oil industry.
This came as a complete shock to the employees.
They say they are most upset because they were not warned.
Many companies around Texas have already called the economic development office in Tye to try and locate some of those employees to possibly hire them.
