$7,500 Reward Offered for Abilene Man Who's Been Wanted for Nearly 20 Years

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A $7,500 reward is being offered for a suspected child sex predator last seen in Abilene nearly 20 years ago. 

The Texas Department of Public Safety is featuring Jesus Alberto Villegas, 37, as one of their "still wanted" fugitives.

Villegas is wanted in Taylor County for Sexual Assault of a Child, Felony Theft, and Prohibited Weapons Violation. 

He's been on the run from the law since he was charged with Sexual Assault of a Child in 1998.

Villegas' last known address is on Bickely Street in Abilene. 

Anyone who had information on Villegas' whereabouts is asked to contact DPS using one of the following methods: 

  • Call the Texas Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477)
  • Text the letters "DPS"- followed by your tip – to 274637 (CRIMES) from your cell phone
  • Submit a web tip through the Texas 10 Most Wanted website or Facebook page
  • Submit a tip through the DPS Mobile App

All tips will be anonymous, and DPS is offering a $7,500 reward for Villegas' capture.
