Abilene City Councilman Planning to Resign Next Year

Abilene, Texas (KRBC/KTAB) - Abilene City Councilman plans to resign from his council position early next year.

According to Hardaway, the decision was made due to the fact that he is wanting to focus on his new role as Jodey Arrington's District Director, but he is hoping to make the transition seamless.

"I am currently working with the city manager to make sure that process is as seamless as possible, with minimal inconvenience to the city council, city staff, and the citizens of Abilene," stated Hardaway.

Hardaway will remain in the Key City, and will be the first District Director to work from Abilene instead of Lubbock.

Hardaway's current term expires in May.
