Abilene Family Accused of Using Custom Home Business to Steal $30,000+ from Customers

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - An Abilene family who owns custom home businesses in Abilene, San Angelo, and Midland, was indicted and arrested for allegedly stealing over $30,000 by giving customers false invoices.

Dudley Mason Sr., Dudley Mason Jr., and Dusti Mason, were all arrested in Tom Green County Tuesday for Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. They were indicted on the charges by a Tom Green County Grand Jury earlier this year.

The Tom Green County District Attorney's Office confirmed Mason Sr. and Mason Jr. are father and son, and Dusti Mason is a daughter-in-law of the Mason family.

Court documents claim the Masons gave a Tom Green County couple several fabricated invoices in December of 2014, January of 2015, and February of 2015, causing the couple to pay the Mason family's company, Mason Trendsetters Custom Homes, between $30,000 and $150,000 during that time frame.

All three Masons were released from the Tom Green County Jail Wednesday after posting their respective bonds.

Mason Trendsetters has a location in Abilene on the 1500 block of Industrial Blvd., according to the company's website
