On Saturday morning, the library held a special workshop for people interested in gardening. Texas Master Gardener Krista Bunger hosted the event and taught people how to create sustainable container gardens.
Everyone who attended shared a love for plans and were excited to be around people with the same interest. Many say the workshop made them more aware of things that could be grown and sustained in a container.
Bunger says it's rewarding knowing people can grown their own meals.
"I like the fact that I can get out there and grow my own food and my own produce," says Bunger. "It's just a great way to slow down and live in the present."
The event was free to the public and the library plans on hosting a similar workshop in the Fall.
