Police: No Charges to be Issued in Ranger ISD Investigation

RANGER, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - Police believe allegations of improper communication between a student and staff member at Ranger ISD are unfounded, and no criminal charges will be filed at this point.

The Ranger Police Department confirmed this information Wednesday afternoon and said the decision was reached after the allegations were thoroughly investigated.

Superintendent Mike Thompson told KTAB and KRBC the district placed the involved staff member on leave then conducted their own internal investigation after becoming aware of these allegations last week.

Thompson said results of Ranger ISD's internal investigation could neither confirm nor deny the allegations.

KTAB and KRBC have reached out to Ranger ISD to see if this staff member's full-time employment status will be restored.
