Registration started this month on Mondays and Tuesdays. Starting the first day of December families can stop by Monday through Friday to register. They hope to have all families registered by the 13th so they can figure out how many toys and for what age group each family will need.
Last year they helped over five hundred families and around 1,500 children, and the founder of Toys for Kids is expecting more this year. They hope that each family will be able to select three gifts. The founder explained that she couldn't have done this without help from the community.
Distribution will be at the grand stars warehouse on December 21. If you wish to donate you can either drop toys off at the Grand Stars or the Brownwood fire station. Or you can also send in cash which is used for buying the gifts that they need more of.
The two ages groups that they have trouble with are 0- 3 year olds and high school students.
