Buffalo Gap Historic Village named Sunday as "Military Appreciation Day." All day, the museum offered free tours of the museum to military members and their families.
According to the organizers, the museum not only wanted to honor those who serve, but the family members who have sacrificed a lot. It's these kinds of gestures why military attendees say it makes them proud to be living in this community.
"I really appreciate it," Chris Ferguson, an airman said. "It's great to come and feel welcomed."
Buffalo Gap Historic Village will be holding the event every third Sunday of each month. To learn more, visit tfhcc.com.
