In the past three years alone, there have been at least 15 small earthquakes in the Snyder area.

In a recent report, scientists have suggested a possible cause.

The reports states that oil and gas companies pump CO2 into wells nearing the end of their life to produce more output and that may in fact be causing the earthquakes.

Whether or not the CO2 injections are dangerous to the residence is unsure, but many locals say that aren't concerned as long as they are not harmful.
