Several agencies came together to raise awareness for Child Abuse Awareness month. The Taylor County Child Advocacy Center, Law Enforcement officers, The Fire Department and others participated in several activities to help educate the community on child abuse.

Several symbolic activities were demonstrated. The Abilene Fire Department raised it's truck basket to represent raising awareness. People hung up locks attached to a chain-link fence to symbolize stopping or locking out child abuse. A line of shoes were displayed to represent the walk towards prevention.
