The right information about a recent arson case could be worth a cash reward.

The fire was in a vacant house in west Abilene back on Tuesday, June 3rd. Abilene firefighters got the fire out quickly, but investigators say it looks like someone started it intentionally.

"Someone poured some kind of flammable liquid and lit it on fire," says Gary Heslep of the Abilene Police Department.

Investigators say they are pleased that the fire was noticed immediately and could be extinguished quickly before it could spread through the house or to any other structures nearby. Firefighters say there is always a potential for serious injuries or even death when they have to rush out to battle a fire.
