Abilene police are looking for anonymous information that helps them get a dangerous robber off the streets.

The crime happened a couple of weeks ago at a north Abilene convenience store. It occurred around 3:15 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15th. The man was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and showed the clerk that he was armed with two kitchen knives and demanded money.

The clerk complied, and the robber left.

"There is not much of a chance of getting a facial identification on the guy, but it is a significant enough case that somebody may have information that could help us," says Gary Heslep of the Abilene Police Department.

The store clerk described the robber as a black man in his 30's, physically small, about 5 ft and six inches tall with a slim build.

You can provide your anonymous information through or by calling (325) 676-TIPS.
