Documents: Former Brownwood Teacher May Have Slept with Multiple Students

BROWNWOOD, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A former Brownwood High School soccer coach may have engaged in sexual relationships with a least three students, and he brought at least one student into his apartment to have sex, according to court documents.

These documents say police began investigating Blake Steven Danaher, 31, in January of 2017 after receiving a CrimeStoppers tip that he "has had at least three sexual relationships with students."

Detectives contacted a During a 2014 graduate of Brownwood High School after learning she was one of the students involved in the allegations, and she admitted she engaged in sexual activity with Danaher multiple times while she was a student and he was an educator at the school, according to the documents.

She told detectives the first time she engaged in sexual activity with Danaher was at his apartment in December of 2013. The documents say she was able to give an accurate description of this apartment and Danaher's dog.

Danaher also admitted to having a sexual relationship with this graduate while she was a student and he was an educator during the 2013-2014 school year, according to the documents, which say he told detectives they had sexual encounters at his apartment multiple times.

Danaher was taken into custody on Wednesday for an Improper Relationship Between Educator and Student in connection to this incident.

He was released from the Brown County Jail after posting a $50,000 bond.

Police told KTAB and KRBC they're still investigating the potential for other victims.
