It was February 11, 2005 when Geana Mclendon's ex-boyfriend broke into her home and poured gasoline on her. He then lite her body on fire and left the home as it was going down in flames. Mclendon and her 5-year-old son barely made it out alive.

She spent years in depression but with her faith and strength, she was able to overcome the aftermath of that incident. She credits God's power for the healing she experienced.

She became a business owner and opened up a hair salon. She publicly speaks out at domestic violence events and shares her powerful story, in hopes of helping other victims.
