An accident on Rolling Green Drive causes flooding by a south Abilene hotel late Sunday morning.

The accident happened just after 11 a.m. According to Abilene police, an 88-year-old woman driving on the westbound lane of Rolling Green Drive was turning left into MCM Elegante Suites. She didn't realize a black Xterra on the eastbound lane was heading her direction.

The driver of the black Xterra swerved in order to avoid the accident but ran right into a fire hydrant.

As a result, Rolling Green Drive was flooded for early part of the afternoon. The city of Abilene shut off the water valve upon arriving to the incident. No one was injured.
