Family and friends remember the lives of two young men from Brown County who died in a wreck over the weekend.

18-year-old Billy Jones and 19-year-old Bolton Day were killed in an accident early Sunday morning between Ballinger and Talpa.

Not much information has been released but the Heart of Texas EMS in Coleman who assisted with the accident says that Jones was pronounced dead at the scene. Day was taken to a San Angelo hospital where he later died.

Classmates, friends and some family members gathered at Coggin Park at around 6 p.m. Sunday to release balloons in remembrance of both men.

"It's good to see this many people come out to show their support," Kolton Reeves, Day's nephew said. "They were great guys."

Jones was a senior at Brownwood High School and Day graduated from Zephyr High School last year.

The Department of Public Safety has yet to release information to what caused the accident.
