At approximately 9:00 a.m. this morning, the rescue truck was traveling west bound on I-20 when they saw an accident.
They were turning around to assist the accident when the 18-wheeler slammed into the back of the rescue truck.
The driver and passengers in the rescue truck appeared to be alright, but were taken to the hospital to be checked.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was unharmed.
Sweetwater Fire Chief, Grant Madden did say that the rescue truck did have its emergency lights on at the time of the accident.
