Friends and family members of a Eula woman are working on fundraising projects to help pay for a surgery that doctors say the woman needs.

Kelya Shipley is in need of a robotic surgery that will remove a large kidney stone. The three day procedure is very costly and as a result, Shipley's been turned down by every insurance company due to her medical condition. She now has to pay for the surgery out of pocket.

Shipley's best friend and family held several events that include a bake sale, garage sale, and most recently, a raffle and silent auction at Cattle Baron's Cafe Saturday afternoon.

Their goal is to raise 150K and their previous garage sale event easily raised $3,000. As a way to help, Shipley and her supporters have gathered sponsors to contribute to the funds.
