More than 500 students from counties all across Texas, are showcasing their skills in the Texas State 4H Horse Show.

The event kicked off Sunday at the Taylor County Expo center with horse cutting. The western tradition originated in cattle ranches in the late 1800s but now the tradition is carried on from generation to generation.
