In Case Of Lockdown, Plans Are In Place To Take Care of Dyess Students

Dyess Elementary School, a school of many military children, is just a few feet away from the Air Force Base.

Many say it's necessary to have certain plans implemented if ever a situation of lockdown like Fort Hood occurred.

There are certain procedures Dyess Elementary would take if a lockdown ever occurred.

"We will keep our students in place, our teachers will stay with those students who would normally go through the walk through gate or if parents who live on base pick them up," Dyess Elementary School Principal Michael Newton said.
