Researchers at the University of Alabama at Birmingham say their study shows your heart health is closely tied to your brain health.
They followed over five thousand people age sixty-five and older -- and found those diagnosed with atrial fibrillation experienced problems with their thinking and memory sooner than those without the condition.
Next they hope to figure out why this mental decline is faster among patients with an irregular heartbeat, and how they can stop it.
