"I was playing in the living room until my mom heard something," he said.
He was only 5-years-old when an intruder broke into his home and attacked his mom.
He was ordered by his mom to lock himself in her room while she fought off the attacker he didn't hesitate to act, and dialed 9-1-1.
"She said go to my room go to my room! and me and her were just crying out," he said.
He told the dispatcher that someone had broken into their home and needed help quick.
"They said okay, we'll send someone right away."
According to 911forkids.com, it's never too early to teach our kids the basics for what to do in case of an emergency.
The website also states, that even the youngest children can be taught the appropriate times to make these types of calls.
Macario said he still thinks about the ordeal but it did teach him very early in life what his career choice is going to be.
"When i grow up I wanna become a Police Officer because you get to catch burglaries and you get to be in the police cars catching the burglaries in high speed chases."
