A fire destroys a home in Roscoe early Wednesday morning.

At around 2 am, the Roscoe Volunteer Fire Department and the Sweetwater Fire Department responded to a call at the 200 block of Bois D Arc Street.

Just hours after the blaze that destroyed nearly everything the duo owned, smoke continued to rise from the ashes.

The father, David and the son Nick spent the night at David's mother's house in Sweetwater

David's mother, Joyce West was passing by hours after the blaze and told KRBC that the duo most devastated over the loss of their dogs.

She isn't exactly sure how many pets they had in the home but believed there were 4 or 5 dogs.

As of now, they believe only one survived.

Neither David or Nick were injured.

The fire is still under investigation.
