The Texas Farm Bureau says that a traditional, Texas-style Thanksgiving dinner for ten people will cost $48.08 this year. This is about two dollars more than it cost last year.

Although some local shoppers thought that figure was feasible, many said that they spend much more on the Thanksgiving meal. While the Farm Bureau's figure averages just below five dollars a person, some say they spend close to double that.

The survey records the cost of ten holiday staples including turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, and pecan pie.
