"It's just a good way to give back to the community. You get to make an influence on somebody's life, and it's fun. He's opened up more. We've become a lot closer and his grades have gotten better", says Tate.
Little Brother Jonathan says having Seth as a mentor helps him stay motivated and keeps him on track.
"I'm ineligible for track right now because I failed science, and he's been giving me help and tells me how I should just stay on task and keep going", says Castaneda.
Spending time with Big Brother, Seth has made a positive impact on Jonathan's life.
"It helps me see how I could be a better person, the way he is going to college. To keep me in school and to do good things", says Castaneda.
Tate encourages other college students to join Big Brothers Big Sisters and to make that difference in one more child's life.
"It's fantastic. I love every minute of it. It's wonderful to know that you're helping somebody out in life and it's just fun to meet new people", says Tate.
