The goal is to keep drugs off the streets, as well as out of the city’s water supply.
Items must be in their original containers and personal information should be blacked out.
Items that will be accepted are:
- Prescription Medications (pills, liquids, creams, patches)
- Non-prescription Medications (pills, liquid, creams, patches)
- Pet Medications (pills, liquid, creams, patches)
- Vitamin and Herbal Supplements (pills, liquid, creams, patches)
- All types of Inhalers
Items that will not be accepted:
- Oxygen tanks
- Pen needles
Anyone wishing to dispose of these items should call their healthcare provider and ask about proper disposal.
The two drop off locations will be at the Wal-Mart in Brownwood under the trees behind Long John Silvers, and at Brookshire’s located at Austin & Coggin.
