The Buffalo Gap Volunteer Fire Department is getting a special delivery on Monday, June 16th. A new communications tower is being donated by Verizon.

This comes after the original tower was destroyed in the massive wildfire near Camp Barkeley at the end of April.

The tower allows firefighters to communicate with each other, which is why the past month and a half has been challenging for them.

No word yet on how soon the communications tower will be up and running.
