On Monday January 13th, the AISD Board of Trustees met for an open meeting to discuss a number of subjects.

One of the issues on the agenda was the standardized dress code proposition for the Abilene Middle Schools.

No action was taken tonight, but it was confirmed that a committee was formed.

The committee said that most parents were for the dress code while very few were against it.

They said that the biggest reason why parents were against it was because of cost.

The committee is doing research to determine the cost of the clothing and how to make it less expensive.

Members of the Board of Trustees stated that they were for the dress code.

The committee will address the Board again in March.
