Monica Guinn, wife and mother of four, was finishing getting ready for bed when she came face to face with an intruder in her dining room. She fought with him all the way down the hallway to keep him away from her children.

When Tito, the family's thirteen month old Pit Bull, heard all of the commotion, he sprang into action to protect his owners. Tito was able to chase the suspect out of the back door and into the backyard.

The Guinn's say fear what would have happened if Tito had not been there to chase off the intruder. The best part of the story perhaps is that Tito was a Valentine's Day gift from Monica to her husband, William. Tito had been part of the family for less than two weeks when he protected his family.

Tito was injured by the suspect on the ear, however, he is making a quick recovery. The suspect did get bitten by Tito and is still on the loose.
