The Lueders fire department responded to a house fire around 4:50pm Thursday evening.

The home was fully engulfed in flames by the time the fire department arrived.

Stamford, Albany, and Shackelford County fire departments  also responded to help put out the flames.

Fire fighters have not yet determined the cause of the fire.

It took about an hour and an half to put the fire out due to the high winds. The fire did not spread to other structures.

No one was injured in the fire, however the homeowner lost six dogs to the flames.

The home was destroyed.
