Many spent Wednesday reflecting on the events of September 11th, 2001.

First responders in the Big Country say the event hit close to home, as they've lost their own in tragedies such as fires.

But the day also served a reason to stop and thank first responders for all they do, which is exactly what Fisher and Jones counties did.

A free dinner for provided for first responders in Hamlin, as a way to say thank you.

Volunteer fire fighters said the added support from the community is much appreciated, and makes them happy.
