Researchers followed over a thousand patients under age 55 and found chest pain was the most common symptom of heart attack in both men and women. However, 19%of women had no chest pain compared to only 13% of men. Other symptoms included weakness, feeling hot, shortness of breath and pain in the left arm or shoulder. Experts aren't sure why there are gender differences.
