Hendrick Center for Rehabilitation is offering free screenings for children who experience poor weight gain, refuse to eat, have power struggles at meal-time or other eating issues. Through these screenings, feeding specialists will determine if a child would benefit from Hendrick’s Feeding Program.

It’s not uncommon for parents to face a variety of issues when it comes to mealtime with their children. However, chronic struggles may mean there’s a bigger issue. If a child is having trouble transitioning off a bottle or baby foods, gags or chokes during mealtime or refuses to eat, this could signal a feeding problem.

Help is also available for parents to assist them in implementing meal-time techniques that they can carry-over into the home.

Interested parents should call 670-6365 to schedule a screening by Monday, July 14. Space is limited.
