The recent dry and windy weather is starting to raise concern among area farmers. Taylor County is currently under a moderate drought, but this could change quickly if some rain does not come into the forecast soon.

January and February are typically dry months, however the smallest trace of rain can make a big impact on the spring and summer seasons.

The Taylor County Extension office has received phone calls over the past few weeks from farmers with concerns about the dry weather and how it will impact their winter crop and livestock.
