A bench warrant has been issued for Christopher Perez to appear in an Abilene courtroom for the trial of Tiffany Klapheke at the end of January.

A bench warrant is a warrant issued by a judge for an incarcerated person to appear before the bench to testify in a trial.

Christopher Perez was the live-in boyfriend of Tiffany Klapheke while her husband was deployed.

During this time, Klapheke's three children suffered from severe neglect that took the life of her toddler, Tamryn, who died as a result of dehydration and malnutrition.

The other two children were nursed back to health in the he hospital.

Tiffany Klapheke is expected to stand trial on charges of injury to a child on the 27th of January.

Public Affairs at Dyess Air Force Base has been contacted to see where Perez is being held after his court marshal hearing on these allegations, and when he will be brought back to Abilene to be a witness in the Klapheke trial. We will update this information as it becomes available.

Tiffany's husband is also scheduled to appear in her trial to testify.
