On May 31, police arrived at Pebble Creek Apartments to find 20-year-old Cameron Murdock at the pool area. According to the criminal complaint against Murdock, police determined that Murdock was intoxicated due to a heavy smell of alcohol and slurred speech and he was arrested for public intoxication.

Two people, including a man who identified himself as Murdock’s boyfriend, told police that Murdock had assaulted them at an apartment in the complex. Police recorded that the apartment certainly appeared to have been the scene of a fight as they found windows broken and furniture strewn about.

According to the man who identified himself as Murdock’s boyfriend, he and the other victim had picked up Murdock on that day and had taken him back to the apartment where Murdock and the second victim got into a fight. The fight resulted in Murdock hitting the second victim with a wine bottle.

Murdock’s boyfriend attempted to intervene in the fight and, according to him, Murdock then began beating him with his fists before attempting to choke him. Police recorded marks around his neck consistent with choking.

Police also found bruises and knots on the faces and arms of both victims.

Murdock has been charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and is being held on bonds totaling $50,000.
