Multiple Tornado Touchdowns in Brown & Comanche Counties - Damage Reported

Several tornado touchdowns Monday evening in the Brown County town of Blanket.  The Blanket High School, as well as the ISD bus barn, were damaged by the storm.  Additional damage was reported at the Blanket Cemetery.  The initial report of a tornado on the ground came from a DPS Trooper who was watching the funnel cloud develop.

Photos on social media show a portion of the roof at Blanket High School gym has collapsed. Other photos show damage at the Blanket Rodeo Arena and Blanket Cemetery.

As of Monday night, there have been no reports of anyone being injured.

Storm reports timeline:

- 5:55PM Damage at Blanket School .
- 5:54PM Power lines down.  
- 6PM Sirens going off in Comanche.
- 6:07PM 5 Miles NE of Zephyr Amateur spotter reports tornado on the ground. Near 1467 & 291.
- 6:08PM Heavy damage to school in Blanket report from Sheriff's Deputy on the scene.
- 6:18 Half-dollar size hail reported in area of Blanket.
- 6:20PM BCH Storm Spotter reports rotating wall cloud 10-miles South of Comanche.
- 6:23 Damage reported at the Blanket Cemetery.
- 6:26PM Rotating wall cloud reported by the NWS in Priddy (same as 6:20 BCH spotter report)
- 6:39 PM law enforcement reports Blanket High School roof is damaged as well as portions of the ISD bus barn. 
- 6:40PM  Flash Flood Warning issued for Comanche County
- 6:45 PM New Tornado Warning Issued for Brown County (Along Mills & Brown County Line)
- 6:55pm Damage at Blanket Cemetery is: trees split and twisted, metal building flattened.
- 6:58pm Photo shows partial roof collapse at Blanket High School gym.
- 7:00pm Photo shows damage at Blanket Rodeo Arena
- 7:04pm Report from BCH spotter strong rotation south of Comanche, if tornado exists it could be rain wrapped. TAKE SHELTER if you are in the area.
- 7:24PM Gym at Blanket Elementary now evacuated because of odor of gas
- 8:30PM NWS allows last remaining tornado warning to expire.
