There are some new sculptures around town in Abilene. It's part of the Children's Art and Literacy Festival which starts on Thursday and goes through Saturday.

There are five sculptures put up by the Abilene Cultural Affairs Council. They are based off  "Guardians of Childhood" books, written by William Joyce.

Examples include "Toothiana" the Queen of the Tooth Fairy Armies at Minter Park and Nicholas Saint North (or better known as Santa Claus) at the National Center for Children's Illustrated Literature.

Staff at the Goodwill West Texas volunteered their time today to help with the set up.
