People in Ranger and those who receive water from the Morton Valley Water Supply Corporation are being asked to conserve water as much as they can Wednesday.

A major leak in the main service line has left the city of Ranger and Morton Valley Water Supply without the ability to pump additional water into the tanks.

Therefore, while some water still remains in the tanks, conservation is essential.

The line, which is being installed from the Eastland County Water Supply District treatment plant into Ranger, is currently being repaired. The pumps have been shut off as a precaution.

Once everything is fixed, another alert will be sent out in like manner to this one.
