A maintenance worker sent by the state to help connect a sewer line and level a man’s RV ended up crushed underneath it as he was working.

The owner of the RV, Darrell McKennon, was helping operate the hydraulics when the accident happened.

McKennon said William Day, the worker helping him connect the sewer line, said “Let’s raise the hydraulics and see what we are up against,” and McKennon says when he raised the hydraulics, one end of the trailer lowered, crushing Day.

McKennon, understandable, was devastated by the incident.

Friends and neighbors did their best to reassure him it was a freak accident.

Meanwhile, paramedics had to perform CPR on Day who was taken to the hospital, and all McKennon could do was watch as the man was fighting for his life.

Thankfully, police said when Day was taken, he was alert and breathing.
