Governor Rick Perry signed revisions to a current law giving people with disabilities the right to take service animals into all public places like restaurants and businesses.

Revisions know recognize dogs that help military veterans with their PTSD as service dogs. Meaning veterans can take them into restaurants, grocery stores and other businesses.

One local veteran says he's never had problems beforehand, but these revisions mean all veterans will be able to get back to a normal lifestyle, despite PTSD. He explains that without the service dogs prevent veterans from hiding away from the world.

These changes go into affect the first of September.
