Dyess Air force Base housing is now owned by a private company. Balfour Beatty will be taking on the responsibility of maintaining and providing up-keep for homes on-base.

This comes at no extra cost for airmen and women and their families, and even saves the military money.

Future plans will bring in more housing and community buildings to keep the Dyess community together. Some airmen say that the privatization could improve the homes, and keep them living on-base longer.
