Business owners whose businesses were affected by the fire in the Shady Oaks Shopping Center Tuesday afternoon in Eastland are being allowed back in Thursday.

The business owners will try to salvage anything they can following the fire that burned Playoff Sports and left others with smoke and water damage.

The Eastland Economic Development Inc., Board will bring in the Small Business Development Center and the Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas from Abilene Monday, April 21, to talk to business employees and to speak with employers about low interest loans to help them get started again. The meeting will take place at noon at Eastland City Hall and all affected business owners and employees are invited to attend.

A fundraiser is planned for Saturday, April 26 to help the business owners get back on their feet.

It will take place at Russels Car Wash and at Bryan's Auto and all proceeds will be split amongst the fire victims.

There is also an account set up through the First Baptist Church in Eastland with First Finacial and all checks must be made payable to First Baptist Church.

Volunteers are needed, as well as baked goods and anything else one might think to contribute to the cause.
