The women found dead along the shoreline of Kirby Lake Wednesday night has been identified, and police now believe the death was not a homicide.
According to Abilene PD, the victim has been identified through fingerprints as Amanda Conaway, a white female, age 30. Ms. Conaway recently moved to Abilene from Stephenville.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has stated that no foul play is suspected in this death. Police are still waiting on toxicology results before a final autopsy report is issued and this may take 6-8 weeks.
According to family members and the ME’s office, Ms. Conaway did have some medical conditions which may have contributed to her death, though this is still under investigation by medical personnel.
The deceased was wearing a swimsuit when found at the lake shore which may explain her presence at that location
