England Andrews, who was arrested Wednesday after SWAT members talked him out of his room at the Abilene Hotel, has been charged.
He has been charged with two counts of theft of a motor vehicle worth between $20,000 and $100,000, two counts of theft of a firearm, and one count of the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle (the last from an earlier date of March 13).
His bonds total at $140,000.
03/19/14 Original Story: Gun Investigation Leads to One Arrested, Several Detained at Abilene Hotel Wednesday
The Abilene SWAT Team took one man into custody and detained several others at a local hotel Wednesday morning as the result of a stolen gun investigation.
SWAT talked England Andrews, 19, out of his room on the second floor of the Abilene Hotel located on East Highway 80. Andrews was taken into custody without incident as a part of the investigation.
As Andrews was being arrested, two woman called out to police from another room on the first floor, one carrying with her a green gun case containing a rifle.
Police asked the woman to place the case on the ground, which she did, before she was momentarily detained and later released.
Two other men, staying in a third room, were also detained, though it is unknown at this time whether they were taken into custody.
