The city of Abilene hosted its second annual Easter Egg hunt.

Instead of having it at a park the city decided to have it at Action Zone. They laid out 6,500 eggs for kids to collect.

All the eggs had a piece of candy in it but if a child found a golden egg they won a special prize.

The city decided to have it at Action Zone because they wouldn't have to worry about children getting hurt; due to ditches or if any child is allergic to ants.

One parent thought it took the fun out of hiding the eggs, but at the end of the day the children had fun and that is all that matters.

However, one parent liked it because it was an enclosed area and they were able to watch their child.

It took about 25 minutes for the city to lay all the eggs on the field. But it took about two minutes for the children to collect them all.
