They're building for the future on the outside. On the inside of the Wylie Early Childhood Center, they're shaping it.

They're all working hard, the administrative staff, the teachers, and Mrs. Betty.

"She is up here during the summer. She gets here at 6:30 in the morning. I mean so early. I'm like, I don't even want to try to be here at 6:30 in the morning," says Jessica Mcgaughey, a teacher.

Another teacher, April Brannon says, "Betty is such a blessing to have on our campus. She is quick to do anything that we ask. She goes above and beyond."

For 13 years, Mrs. Betty has come in every Monday through Friday to lend a helping hand.

KTAB anchor, Brittany Pelletz asked Mrs. Betty if the Wylie Early Childhood Center feels like it is a second home to her. "It is. This is my family. When you are alone and you can come to do a job you love and you can have all these girls come and every morning, I get a hug. I hear what their children are doing, says Kruger.

"She's always there to give a quick hug. She knows how many ear infections my son has had and she just takes care of us and worries about us like we're family. She is family, adds Brannon.

Copying, laminating, and cutting are some of Mrs. Betty's daily tasks. Ask Mrs. Betty and you shall receive.

"I kind of know what they want now. They don't really have to tell me. They just leave it on my table and I can do it, says Kruger.

Brannon adds, "She's a machine. She gets it all taken care of so quickly and efficiently."

"No job is too big for her to do. She's just, she takes cares of us here and she is another grandmother to me,"says Mcgaughey.

"I'm trying to find out who nominated me and they won't tell me. I have no idea who did it and I don't think I'm doing anything so great. I'm just doing what I love, Kruger adds.

Kruger goes to the Wisteria Place Retirement Center after leaving the Wylie Early Childhood Center every day.
